The stone

     It was Mid-day and I was walking along the creek looking for rocks to throw when I saw something shine in the water. I walked into the creek and picked up what seemed to be a smooth pink rock. 'I bet this thing could go really fart if I threw it' I thought to myself. I looked at it more closely and there was a soft purple mixed in with the pink. It reminded me of her....and those soft Lavender eyes, "I bet she'd like this" I said to myself, "I bet She'd want to hang out with me then Harv"!  With that I ran through the creek and headed back to the village, my heart was beating super fast, I wonder how she would act if I gave her this? I wonder if she'd give me a hug.....or a kiss?  A smile spread across my face 'If I got a kiss from her....Harv would be sooo Jealous!'

I ran through the Village looking for her, It took me a while but I finally found her sitting at the cafe, and as always she was with Harv. 'I don't get it'! I shouted in my head, 'why was she always with him'? I walked up the road to the Café they seemed to both be drinking tea and talking. Harv must have said something funny because she was laughing for some reason. I guess I was close enough for Harv to notice me, when i finally reached them, Harv greeted me with his usual smile, and I smiled annoyingly back, but it wasn't him that I had my mind on it was her that mattered. I turned to he and as always she was wearing that Pretty purple tunic with black gloves, and her hair was always perfect. I extended my arm in front of her and opened my hand and to give her the rock, Harv shifted in his seat to get a better look, that got her attention. She looked in my hand, looked at me and then she returned her gaze back to the stone sitting in my hand, She set her tea cup on the table and grabbed the rock from my hand. I wondered what she'll say, the way Harv was staring I guess he was wondering too. when she finally spoke she didn't even speak all she did was make a noise that sounded like a 'pfft' then she tossed the rock behind her. "Finn"! Harv, whined. "what"? she rolled her eyes and went back to sipping her tea. I looked at Harv annoyed and spoke "that's fine I wanted to see how fast it would go it someone threw it" I ran off to go look for the rock when I found it I started to walk back to them and when I got back they were gone.....

I tried looking for them again, but I couldn't find them anywhere, so I just decided to go home. 'Why does Harv have to have the one Girl I like, I thought she only liked rich guys'? I continued to walk when all of a sudden something hit me in the back. "Ah"! I almost lost my balance but I got my footing and turned to see what hit me, but it wasn't a what, it was a who. that Girl with the crazy hair, 'Emet'? I think that's her name. But it didn't matter I wasn't in the mood to start a rock fight, I just wanted to get home. "I don't wanna Play"! I yelled and turned back around "leave me alone" I started walking again. I guess she didn't care whether I was in a bad mood or not, because I felt another pebble hit my arm, so out of a reflex the rock that I was holding in my hand and hit her. But then I figured out that the rock I threw was the same rock that I wanted to give to that Girl.

Emet was about to return fire when she suddenly stopped, 'is she okay' I thought to myself, She dropped the rock she had in her hand and picked up the rock that I threw at her, and Looked at it. It looked like her eyes were gonna pop out of her head! "Wow, where did you find this"?  I sighed 'I'm not telling you I'm tired and I don't wanna walk back to the creek' She walked up to me and repeated her question. "where did you get this''? , I sighed again "At the creek" I said. Then she smiled, I never seen her smile, well maybe I have but I've never seen it up this close, it looked 'nice'. "show me". She said I looked at her confused "Huh"? She grabbed my arm  and dragged me all the way back to the creek.

when we got there I had to catch my breath, I mean come one I've been running around all day give me a break. when I caught my breath I stood up straight and looked over at Emet who was looking at the creek. "so is this where you found it"? I walked over to her and stood next to her "No I found it over there" I pointed Upstream "Okay Lets go"! She passed by me and started walking  I followed behind her and then I remembered "Hey" I tapped her shoulder, she stopped walking and turned around to face me. "yeah"? I paused for a bit then spoke "Can I have the rock back"? she gripped the rock in her hand "Why"? I glared at her "It's nothing, I just want it back". She crossed her arms "you threw it at me so I should keep it, besides it looks girlie why do you want a girlie looking rock for"? I frowned "it's not for me It was for that girl that hangs out with my brother".  "you mean Harv"?  I looked at her confused "how do you know his name"?  why did she look scared all of a sudden? "Umm…..I've heard you call him that, but anyways I've never seen him hang out with a girl." I gave her an annoyed look "how could you not notice her? She wears that pretty purple outfit with those black gloves, and she has these pretty Lavender eyes, how could you not notice her?" Emet smiled at me….or was that a grin? "you mean, Finn"? I just remembered that Harv called her that at the Café when she threw the rock. "yeah that's her". Her grin got bigger if that was possible and then she started to laugh. "what"? all she did was keep laughing, at this point I was really upset "what's so funny"?! I yelled as loud as I could and for a moment she stopped but she just smiled again "Finn's not a girl…even though he acts like on…..and dresses like one…but that's not the point, the point is Finn is not a girl he's a boy." I smiled heck I even felt like laughing. "Yeah right, how can someone that pretty be a boy"? Emet crossed her arms again and gave me a very serious look….it looked almost as serious as my Dad's "Harv goes to the warrior University, right"? I nodded and she smiled again "And so does Finn". I nodded, Emet put her hands on her hips "they Don't allow Girls to go to that school" I laughed "Heh, She's a rich girl her parents probably paid the school to let her in"  I was starting to get annoyed at the fact that Emet was glaring at me " look I know for a fact that Finn isn't a girl because I make his clothes for him….have you ever seen him in a dress, or wear ribbons in his hair?" I thought about that for a second and then remembered that Harv never actually got close to her or hold her hand or anything a guy would do if he liked a girl…."then why does she hang out with Harv"? Emet nervously fussed with her satchel and answered "Well, Finn is usually going on about this pink Unicorn thing and he always says that Harv protects him from it". I when she said Pink unicorn I remembered that one day I tried to go to school with Harv that thing nearly killed me, but it didn't matter anymore I just found out I was in love with a boy, a girlie boy….now that I think about it, It's kind of dumb of me not to notice, I bowed my head to the floor "Thanks ….for.."  Emet smiled "It's okay". She placed her hand on my shoulder, I looked up at her and she smile I stared at her and she kept smiling, grabbed my hand and placed the rock in it. "love hurts….". her hand slid off my shoulder and she turned and started to walk away, but something happened I don't know why this happened next but….I sighed and looked at the rock in my hand. I grabbed Emet's arm and pulled her towards, she turned towards me "what"? I placed the rock in her hand and released her arm. "here" she looked at the rock in her hand and tried to give it back to me but I shook my head "No, it's okay you keep it". she looked at the rock again. "really, I can have it"? I nodded. "Thank you"  She smiled and I turned to walk home but just after a couple of steps I felt something hit the back of my head and I fell forward, I heard footsteps running, Emet's giggle and saw the pink rock lying next to me. "Heh". I stayed laying on the floor for a bit and smiled....'she's right love does hurt'.
